Yes, it was a stupid contest to drink as much water as possible and see who could hold out the longest without going to the bathroom. It was a call in program and a nurse called in to say that that practice could be dangerous and deadly.

The radio announcers pooh-poohed it and said, yeah, yeah, we have a release form from everyone.

One woman went home, complained about not feeling well and died. The station fired these announcers very soon after and the family has sued. I don’t know if it’s resolved yet or not.
